Can Do Awards 2012 open for entries.......
Free to enter 'BAMA CanDo Awards' sponsored by EPIC Media Group is again launching the search for best local authority recycling campaign that includes empty aerosols.
There are covetable prizes for the winning authority and for two runners-up. Each winning authority will receive a trophy and certificate and the winning recycling department will receive first prize of a £1000 customised graphic display for a vehicle from the prize sponsor EPIC Media Group. The second and third runners-up will receive a £750 and a £500 voucher respectively, to spend with EPIC Media Group on display panels for their vehicle.
This year for the first time, BAMA will also be seeking external nominations so organisations working with the councils or householders in the local authority area, will also be able to nominate.
The Can Do Awards form an important part of a long-running campaign initiated by BAMA to encourage and promote kerbside recycling of empty aerosols. Over 83 per cent of local authorities recycle empty aerosols and, of these, many report success due to their communications campaigns to householders. It is this process of communication and education that the BAMA Can Do Awards recognise.
Entries are invited from now until the closing date for submissions at noon on Friday 7th September 2012.
