Hammersmith & Fulham Confidence

Hammersmith & Fulham’s corporate communications manager Louise Raisey, who helped choose KWIK Zip in 2009, said that its vehicles are a ‘popular and effective communications’ medium that draws positive resident comments. “Part of our strategy was to change campaign message several times during the year. Refreshing the message maintains public interest and awareness, and the vehicles are an important communications asset,” she said.

The KWIK Zip banners for the latest campaign were refitted to all 27 vehicles during just one weekend, meaning there were no service interruptions. According to Raisey, this speed and overall system flexibility are key benefits, as is the customer service ethos of the EPIC Media team.

“The overall resilience of the banner designs is another important factor,” she added, “as all local authorities need to ensure they get maximum value for money. The old banners that were demounted held up far better than I imagined. They were almost as good as new and I was very pleasantly surprised at how robust the system is.”

Harlow Council choose EPIC

Harlow Council chose the KWIK Zip vehicle signage system to help promote its extensively redesigned recycling and refuse collection service that was launched in conjunction with municipal contractor Veolia.

Council recycling manager Lisa Pawlowski said chose EPIC Media’s KWIK Zip changeable graphic system because of its track record of performance, flexibility and value with other councils and contractors across the UK. She added: “I found the EPIC Media team a delight to work with. They were thoroughly professional, understood our needs, and were happy to accommodate what we wanted.” The resilience of the KWIK Zip signage has been fully tested during the hard winter conditions. According to Lisa, it is holding up very well. “The performance promised by EPIC is being delivered. The graphics are crisp and look sharp. EPIC guarantees this quality appearance for three years but tell us that up to five years is common. That means we will squeeze great value out of our investment.”

An Epic Golf Day

EPIC’s second annual golf day, organised by Pete Price of OOTO Golf Tours, took place again at Dewland’s Manor in Rotherford on a sunny day in May. Teams were made up from representatives from Councils, Waste Contractors and Municipal Vehicle Manufacturers with Dave Kenney from Verdant winning the day. It was great to welcome the new faces to the day and we are all looking forward to next year! We would like to thank everyone for supporting this event and our chosen charity for the day ‘The Kipriory Project’. Money raised from ‘forfeits’ was donated to the Priory School, Orpington to support their work with a community in Kenya. For further information please visit www.kipriory.com

Eastbourne council orders Kwik Zip vehicle signage system

EPIC Media was called in at short notice by Eastbourne Borough Council when it was reviewing suppliers for vehicle graphics systems. Assistant waste awareness officer Alex Harris-White said: “We found KWIK Zip’s PVC material offered the crispest graphics reproduction and was both strong and quick to change.

She said these were important attributes as the council has different promotional messages for communicating to the public, adding: “EPIC’s service was fast, professional and to a high standard.”

Verdant

“We have used EPIC’s changeable graphic system on a number of contracts now. EPIC have always fulfilled our requirements in a fast and efficient manner. The EPIC team show a good understanding of our industry and have always worked well with us and our councils as well as our vehicle manufacturers and contract hire companies”.
