Waste Partnership realises saving from using EPIC changeable graphics
West Sussex Waste Partnership has installed the EPIC changeable graphic system across all its Borough Council refuse fleet and is already realising the time and budget savings that this is affording them. Following a long-standing relationship with three Boroughs within the area, West Sussex County Council decided to extend this to the remaining three councils allowing them to increase the reach of their recycling message to residents.
Chichester District Council, Crawley Borough Council and Arun District Council have been EPIC customers for a number years and have now been joined by Adur & Worthing, Horsham and Mid Sussex District Council. From one set of artwork, EPIC have worked with each individual depot to secure a fitting schedule that works around weekly collections and reduces downtime and inconvenience. The Partnership have benefited from a single point of contact within EPIC that has project managed the whole process; offering cost savings for bulk buying of frame and graphics.
Speaking on the installation of the frame and graphics; Joy Dyson, Waste Prevention and Education Officer at Mid Sussex District Council said “We had considered Agrippa, but West Sussex County Council recommended EPIC and reported they worked well. Fitting has been quick and efficient, we have already done the 1st changeover of some graphics and that went smoothly”.
Kevin Murton, EPIC Managing Director added “By having one central point of contact, the Waste Partnership are able to leave the hard work to us; we take the artwork and fit it to all vehicles in all locations, project managing the entire process and ensuring best use of everyone’s time and skills.” He continued “We have worked with several waste partnerships up and down the Country and all have seen both time and budget savings from working with one supplier”.
