A look back over the year of our 20th anniversary!
As we come to the end of our 20th year it’s a great time to reflect on our remarkable journey from our humble beginnings back in 2003 right up to our future plans.
EPIC Media Group started in 2003 and in that time has helped more than 200 companies and local authorities to brand their fleet. In contrast to the early days when our former Managing Director, Kevin Murton, and his business partner would both sell the products and services and install it themselves, the company now has a full team covering design, fitting and production from a state-of-the-art workshop and print and production room. We are proud that the majority of the 200 organisations remain our clients today.
The changeable graphics system was introduced to the waste industry, when a contractor came to EPIC with a problem. They needed to put a communications campaign on a ribbed truck which would not have been as effective using a vinyl wrap. The EPIC changeable graphics system provided the perfect solution with minimal fuss and service interruption.
That client, 16 years ago, was Arun District Council, for whom Verdant, now Biffa, ran their collections and street contract. Since then, Biffa and Arun District Council have run so many communication campaigns covering a variety of subjects including, recycling, road safety, garden waste, battery and electrical recycling, chewing gum and dog waste disposal to name a few. As a coincidence while celebrating our 20th year, we installed our changeable graphics on Arun District Council’s brand new fleet earlier this year. A true testament to its success.
The future is EPIC
In October we announced GRS Fleet Graphics, part of the Tosca Capital Group, as the successor for EPIC Media Group to continue our growth strategy by providing greater operational capacity, excellent customer service and nationwide coverage through pooled resources. As we look to 2024 there are lots of exciting plans and developments ahead.
