EPIC Media Supports Winchester City Council’s Food Waste Rollout
EPIC Media Group has proudly supplied the vehicle wraps for Winchester City Council’s new fleet of food waste collection vehicles, operated by Biffa. The launch marks the start of the council’s district-wide food waste recycling service.
Driving awareness through the Winchester food waste rollout
The new collection service represents a major milestone in Winchester City Council’s commitment to improving recycling rates and reducing general waste. Food waste currently makes up around 30% of black bin rubbish. However, when it is collected separately, it can be recycled into renewable energy and nutrient-rich soil improver. As a result, the service helps close the loop on waste and supports a circular economy.
EPIC Media’s durable, high-impact vehicle wraps feature Winchester City Council’s striking new design. The graphics help spread the sustainability message across the district every time the fleet is on the road.
In addition, the vehicles run on Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) fuel, which offers a low-carbon alternative to diesel and reinforces the council’s green ambitions.
A powerful tool for public engagement
“We’re proud to play a part in helping Winchester City Council and Biffa communicate this important sustainability initiative,” said Nicola Welfare, General Manager at EPIC Media Group. “Vehicle graphics are one of the most powerful tools councils and contractors have to engage residents. They turn every collection round into a moving campaign for positive change.”
EPIC Media has long partnered with local authorities and waste contractors nationwide. The company delivers high-quality, long-lasting fleet graphics that help communicate recycling messages and community initiatives effectively.
Supporting councils and contractors across the UK
From food-waste rollout campaigns to service-change messaging and recycling promotions, EPIC’s fleet graphics are engineered to perform in demanding collection environments. The Winchester food waste rollout is another example of how vehicle wraps can support behaviour change and strengthen public engagement.
